Thomas Blurock, managing principal – education architecture, IBI Group
Since founding his own firm in 1984, Tom Blurock, FAIA has dedicated his entire architectural practice to the creation of better educational facilities, providing master planning, programming, design, funding strategy and project management services for more than 200 school and college projects of all sorts for a wide array of education sector clients. In 2006 his firm was integrated into IBI Group with Mr. Blurock assuming the role of Managing Principal of Educational Architecture.
The College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects elected Mr. Blurock as a Fellow of the AIA in 2005. This lifetime honor is awarded to architects who have made contributions of national significance to the profession.. In making their selection the College of Fellows stated:
